New American Standard Bible (NASB)
" All who hate me whisper together against me; Against me they devise my hurt, saying,“ A wicked thing is poured out upon him,That when he lies down, he will not rise up again.” Even my close friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me But You, O Lord, be gracious to me and raise me up, That I may repay them. By this I know that You are pleased with me, Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And You set me in Your presence forever Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting Amen and Amen"
This psalm is the Scripture passage our pastor has chosen to be read in worship this coming Sunday. Because of this, we are singing "10,000 Reasons" following the reading of the passage. If you take time to notice, you will see that verses 10-12 begin listing some of the more than 10,000 reasons to bless the Lord.
The song "10,000 Reasons" says this in it first verse:
"The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning It's time to sing Your song again Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me Let me be singing when the evening comes" -Matt Redman
Let this be a reminder to start singing for him now, this very moment! All day long, start listing for yourself the 10,000 reasons YOU have to keep on singing, and when we join together Sunday, we'll simply continue our song!
In His joy, Christopher
